Estate Planning

Estate planning -- difficult, but necessary

Considering that the normal order of things in life go from education to career to marriage and family and then getting the children through their education, career and creation of their family. Most people only begin to consider their estate plans after they have moved through this natural progression of life.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the good fortune of flowing through life as they plan and think it will be. But we all know of someone else's misfortune when early death put a terrible burden on the surviving family because of a lack of planning for the distribution of assets and establishing financial direction.

No matter what we do to extend our lives by avoiding unnecessary risk, eating healthy and exercising as well as protecting our homes from fire hazards and carbon monoxide, there simply are no guarantees.

What if your path of life ends earlier than expected? What will happen to your loved ones if you die today? Will there be enough money to provide for them properly? Are the assets you leave behind available to them or will your assets be tied up in court system? How long will they have to wait and what will be the final disbursement?

Planning your estate now can prevent these burdens on your family in case of your unexpected death. Many people do not like to even think of this eventuality. But when you think of how your loved ones may suffer from lack of planning, it makes sense.
